The owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, demanded that early elections be held in the United Kingdom in a direct attack on the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, whom he also described as a “tyrant”.
According to the Venezuela News portal, the CEO of Tesla through X especially criticized the government of Keir Starmer, accusing him of suppressing rioters too harshly and of running “a tyrannical police state” in the United Kingdom.
These statements come after Musk faced recent criticism for his support for the German far-right party, Alternative for Germany (AFD). A behavior that has been recurrent in the magnate, since he has dedicated himself to agitating and supporting far-right conservative parties in the world, such as the Labour opposition, Reform UK.
The owner of the social network X also demanded that the Starmer government release right-wing agitator Tommy Robinson, who has been imprisoned for 18 months after admitting contempt of court for repeating false accusations against a Syrian refugee.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, admitted 10 violations of a High Court order issued in 2021, during a hearing at the Woolwich Crown Court.
Despite this, Elon Musk questions the British country's judicial decisions. “Why is Tommy Robinson in solitary confinement for telling the truth?” , says Musk, who would hold the position of head of the Department of Government Efficiency of the United States (USA), in the new administration led by Donald Trump.
This is not the first time that the billionaire, who lives in the United States, has harshly criticized governments that are not affected by him. During the previous year, the CEO of Tesla issued a series of defamatory statements and insults, to the electoral processes in Venezuela, to the supreme court of Brazil, to the legislators of Germany, as well as to the current government of the United Kingdom.
