Head of State: 23 years ago, imperialism received a popular backlash (+11 April)

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, through his Telegram channel, recalled that 23 years ago imperialism carried out a coup against Commander Hugo Chávez.

“We were another people, still very innocent, the new values, the new consciousness were beginning to take shape, and we were just beginning to talk about Popular Power. It was a revolutionary movement in its infancy,” wrote the head of state.

In this regard, he stressed that on that date the right wing and imperialism “received a popular backlash. What a great lesson! April of history, heroism and permanent memory of this spring that Venezuela has lived, and lives, with brilliant, beautiful, gigantic ideas”.
