Head of State: Agri-food sector to reach 8.12% growth in 2025 according to GDP indicators

ECLAC estimates economic growth at 6%, “but the figure will be higher, around 9%,” he stressed

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, specified that during this year 2025, the agri-food sector will achieve growth of 8.12% according to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) indicators.

He stressed that “in the past, more than 80% of food was imported. At this time, we are improving quality to oversupply the market and, in addition, export all the organic food that Venezuela is producing.”

This was stated by the Caracas Polyhedron, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Expo Motors Productivo 2025, where he also highlighted that this Monday, December 22, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) presented a new report stating that Venezuela leads economic growth in all of Latin America and the Caribbean.

“He estimates it at 6%, but the figure will be higher, around 9%,” he said.

During the tour of the stands of the aforementioned, the head of state reaffirmed the various inputs, foods and tools that are currently made with national quality, demonstrating the strengthening of production and development in Venezuela.
