The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that a conversation is pending with his Colombian counterparts, Gustavo Petro; Brazil, Luis Inácio Lula da Silva; and Andrés Manuel López Obrador from Mexico.
“I don't practice microphone diplomacy, I deeply respect these three presidents and their governments, I will be able to communicate at the right time,” he said during a press conference with national and international media.
He stressed that with Brazil, Colombia and Mexico he is in constant communication through the foreign ministries of the respective countries to publicize the truth about Venezuela in the face of the global media war.
He said that Venezuela does not meddle in the internal affairs of any country: “You will never see me thinking about the Government of Lula or Petro or of another nation,” he said.
He recalled that the country is the backbone of peace negotiations in Colombia. “I have never meddled in this internal conflict in the neighboring country.”
