Head of State announces process of refounding police and reorganization of peace quadrants

Nicolás Maduro , president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, announced that in 2025 the process of refounding all the country's police agencies will take place, as well as the reorganization of the Peace Quadrants.

During his annual message during a special session of the National Assembly held at the Teresa Carreño Theater, the National President specified that these processes, which seek to strengthen citizen security and peace throughout the national territory, will take place in this first quarter of the year.

“In the first quarter of this year, we are going to begin the process of refounding the country's police forces and recomposing the peace quadrants,” he said.

He stressed that as a result of the security policies implemented in recent years, the country's homicide rate has fallen 92% in the period 2016-2024.
