The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Wednesday that with the XVI Mostacho Fest Community Vacation Plan “Our Homeland” there is a goal set for this year to serve 4 million 500 thousand children and young people.

He stressed that, for six weeks, 4 million 500 thousand children and young people will advance in the National Recreation Board for Living Living, made up of 35 institutions and twelve thousand volunteers from the National Recreation Movement. “They are going to reach 5,000 recreation points, with a planned schedule,” said the Venezuelan head of state.

From Vinicio Adames Park, the Dignitary pointed out that this is the minimum goal, but “if we reach 6 million better, right?” , while stressing that “sometimes you don't value what you have (...) you have to take care of what you have and build better things. What you have now didn't have any generation, no country has it, grab the map of Latin America, maybe Cuba has recreational plans, Nicaragua, but look. Does Chile have recreational plans to serve young people? No, Chilean youth are abandoned,” he said.

He also criticized that in the United States the plans for young people are “to put drugs and pornography into them, to destroy the minds of young people so that young people do not organize, empower themselves and do not fight for their future.”

In this regard, he emphasized that “these plans created by the Bolivarian Revolution are part of the plans to give positive, creative and innovative options to youth.”
