Within the framework of the Great Venezuela Women Mission, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged women to reject any type of violence against gender that can be seen on social networks.

At the opening ceremony of the Walk of the Heroines of Resistance and Independence, he stressed that “for the fight against discrimination and violence against women, we must completely end the impulses and anti-values that promote violence against women on social networks and in an old archaic sexist practice. Zero violence against women, zero tolerance for discrimination against women.”

In that regard, he indicated that it is necessary to resume and promote the seven vertices of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission. “In relation to the health summit, we have the inauguration of 26 comprehensive health units, one for each state in the coming days of women's month (...) We need to give more impetus to education for women,” she said.
