Head of State: Commander Chávez had absolute confidence in Isaías Rodríguez

Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez Frías had infinite and absolute trust in Isaías Rodríguez, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Commander Chávez knew that wherever Isaías was he was. I knew that he was a one-piece man, of sensitive and deep loyalty who would never betray him, no matter what,” said the Head of State during the posthumous tribute, in a fiery chapel, to the former prosecutor of the Republic.

In the same way, he stressed that Rodríguez was another victim of hate, of the “poison” of the right who never forgave him for his actions to denounce the coup d'etat of 2002.

“The fascists defeated at all times do not forget the heroic, unique, unrepeatable and courageous feat of Isaiah that April 12 at noon. Neither is the narco-paramilitary oligarchy of Colombia forgiven him, nor is the fascist right wing, who are rumouring about their defeat yesterday and today,” said the President.
