The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, dismantled the narrative of the United States administration to justify aggression against Venezuela and emphasized that it is pure “fake news”, detailing the 4 main ones.
During his participation in the 25th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP), the Venezuelan Head of State insisted that the North American government uses pure lies in its quest to colonize “all of our space”.
Maduro asserted that the first fake news they used was that Venezuela was sending people with mental health problems to the United States. “It's totally false, we have four large psychiatric centers in the country that operate with open-door methodology and therapies and we deeply respect the human being, especially the human being who may have a mental health problem, because he is the one who deserves the most respect,” he said.
The National President maintained that the second accusation they made was about the alleged mass shipment of migrants, being a big lie. “The sanctions imposed by the United States took 99% of our income, forcing the migration of approximately 2.4 million Venezuelans as an escape valve,” he said.
“The same extreme right, allied with US administrations (Juan Guaidó, Leopoldo López, Carlos Vecchio, David Smolansky and María Machado), among others, created a large human trafficking business, charging thousands of dollars to bring migrants from countries such as Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia to the United States,” he said.
Maduro indicated that the third fake news used was the alleged sending of criminal gangs (Tren de Aragua). “These gangs were confronted and dismembered in Venezuela with the law in their hands,” he said.
He also said that, according to a report by criminologists in the United States, only 0.001% of domestic crime in that country has to do with Venezuelans, that is, we do not reach 1%.
President Maduro pointed out that the fourth lie used by the empire is that Venezuela is a narco-state, “that's totally false.”
“Reports from the DEA, the European Union, the United Nations (UN) and the World Customs Organization indicate that Venezuela is an irrelevant country in terms of drug production and drug trafficking,” he said.
The president urged people to search for cocaine that reaches the United States in private ports in Ecuador, telling the Noboa family to control the shipment of 70% of the cocaine produced in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.
“We have great truths that we defend and the victory has been, is and will be ours, and we, with our truth and our union and our love, will triumph on the path of peace with the embrace of Latin America and the Caribbean,” he said.
