Head of State: God bless women, you are wonderful!

With regard to the celebration of Women's Day on March 8, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, hails the patriotism and morals of Venezuelan women.

“Venezuela has grown stronger with the spirituality, patriotism and morals of women who have reached the highest level with intelligence, love and gallantry to defend their interests, their land and to assert their rights as revolutionary fighters. God bless women, you are wonderful!” , wrote the head of state.

The establishment of this date responds to honors the 129 textile workers of the Cotton factory in New York, United States, who died in 1857 as a result of a fire while on strike to improve their working conditions.
