During the ceremony of incorporation of the Bolivarian National Militia into the Peace Quadrants, from the 23rd of January parish in Caracas, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Thursday the military revolution and the refounding of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez.

“In Venezuela, Commander Chávez didn't just make a democratic, democratizing, political revolution. Not only did he make a great social revolution to give power, love and equality to the People. It didn't just revolutionize international and Latin American geopolitics. Not only did he make and start a great economic revolution to build another economic model that we are building, but we must record in the history of the 21st century that Commander Chávez made a military revolution and refounded the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in doctrine, in strategic concept, in values, in ideology,” said the Head of State.

He highlighted that, among many other great steps of the Bolivarian Military Revolution of the 21st century, Chávez founded the Bolivarian National Militia, “which is the people on foot in arms, trained, uniformed, armed, prepared and willing to defend the homeland from any foreign enemy.”
