Head of State: It is an illegal and immoral action to unleash a global economic and commercial war

This Monday, April 07, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that it is an illegal and immoral action by the United States to unleash a global commercial economic war, during the Digital Zone segment, in the broadcast of the 75th edition of the program “With Maduro +”.

In that sense, he argued that “it is a mistake, from Venezuela we raise our voices to stop the economic war and it is immoral to inflict sanctions on peoples who want independence, with the objective of colonizing them.”

“An American billionaire qualifies the world economic war as an economic nuclear war, in which the United States is inflicting great harm on itself,” he said.

In that scenario, he stressed that Venezuela “continues to prepare for that war”, which the United States has tried not only against the country, but also against Cuba, Russia, China, the Democratic Republic of Korea.

He recalled that sanctions against Venezuela have been denounced by different countries, “now it turns out that sanctions and coercion and economic war are against the entire world.”

In that regard, he assured that everything must be produced in the country, “food, medicines, science, technology, public services, fuel, shoes, clothes, because Venezuela has everything.”

“Venezuela has everything to integrate into the new world,” he highlighted when referring to the growth of 11.71 percent of the pharmaceutical sector in the first two months of 2025.
