Head of State: It is no coincidence that my first act of Government for the new period is with culture

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the importance of his first act of government, after his swearing in for the period 2025-2031, with the cultural sector.

“I don't think it was a coincidence that my first act of government for the 2025-2031 presidential term was with national culture. This powerful cultural movement is the first act of government and that marks everything (...) because culture is everything,” said the Head of State during the presentation of the National Prize for Culture 2023-2024, from the Miraflores Palace.

He stressed that culture “is the expression of what we are, human beings in the first place; it is the expression of what we are, social beings; and it is the expression of what we are, individual, creative, sensitive beings”.
