Head of State orders scientific investigation to determine if there is a relationship between Flora Tristán and El Libertador

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, to carry out scientific research for the certification of consanguinity of Flora Tristán as the presumed daughter of El Libertador Simón Bolívar.

Maduro pointed out that Tristan was born in France and said she was the daughter of El Libertador. “We haven't been able to access the DNA test yet and we want to get rid of doubts,” he added.

In that regard, he ordered the Executive Vice President, who is a follower and disciple of Flora Tristán, to carry out scientific research.

“In the photographs of Flora Tristán, at least physically speaking, it is the portrait of Simon Bolivar, our Liberator,” he said.

He also asserted that Flora Tristán was the first great figure of socialist and revolutionary feminism.
