Head of State proposes ALBA's Special Energy and Electricity Mission

During his speech at the 25th Virtual Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, proposed the creation of a Special Mission of the regional block to address the energy and electricity crisis that Cuba is going through as a result of the intensification of the illegal blockade imposed by the United States.

“One proposal that we have been working for, in the spirit of the Miracle Mission, is to create an international ALBA Special Energy and Electricity Mission, a Special Mission to support the People of Cuba against the blockade and the effects on their electricity systems,” he said.

He pointed out that he aspires that the heads of State and Government of ALBA approve this proposal framed in the spirit of solidarity, complementarity and brotherhood that marks the regional block.
