Head of State recalled Commander Chávez's admission to the Military Academy

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, recalled, through his account on the social network X, that 53 years ago the leader of the Revolution, Hugo Chávez, joined the Military Academy.

“53 years ago, with the dream of being a baseball player, our #Chávez Commander joined #AcademiaMilitar in Venezuela, where he trained as a soldier. In his heart, a great passion for the military life, history and legacy of our Liberator Simon Bolivar would be born, a commitment that grew to be planted in the soul of #Pueblo,” wrote the head of state.

Commander Chávez entered the Academy not with the idea of being a soldier, but to be in Caracas and be able to become a professional baseball player, however, it was there that he was filled with patriotic love and his course changed.
