The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated his call to members of the country's agribusiness and to public and private businessmen, to provide their support to the Bolivarian Government, to achieve an increase in the number of products included in the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP).

The proposal was made from Puerto Ordaz, in the state of Bolívar, on the occasion of the inauguration of Expo Metal, Iron, Steel and Aluminum 2024, where he told the businessmen present, “you can help me, because I want to add four new products to the CLAP combo in 60 days”.

He specified that the CLAP “is a market that can only be made in Venezuela, a market that people take to their homes, and it is a strong support for people.”

“I want to improve the quantity and quality of the products, I ask you to help me there (...) as María Bolívar said: give me a little help to do it,” he said.

In this regard, he confirmed that “I want to add carrot, salt, meat and canned chicken to the CLAP every month, to reach 19 products, for seven million 600 thousand households. We came to a lot of homes.”

On the other hand, the head of state emphasized his position of promoting dialogue, saying yes “by learning to listen to each other, to overcoming problems, what problems and needs at all stages will there be”.

“The important thing about a country is to have the capacity to face and overcome them and we have demonstrated that we have the capacity as a country, to face any difficulty progressively and completely,” he said.
