Head of State: Scientific community has more than 25,000 professionals

This Wednesday, April 10, during the launch of the Great Science, Innovation and Technology Mission Humberto Fernández Morán, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the country currently has 25,300 first-class scientists who aim at the development of applied science and technology in the country.

“The Venezuelan scientific community is highly articulated and highly respected for its scientific, ethical and human quality (...). This Great Mission aims to form a new generation that is inclusive, convening, unifying, integrating production and knowledge, while asserting that, thanks to research, today science and technology, become the production of knowledge in Latin America and the Caribbean,” he said.

He asserted that the country has boys, girls and young people who are trained as the country's scientific hotbed.
