Head of State: Scientific independence will give us our own heads and feet so we don't depend on anyone

During his program With Maduro+, in its 96th broadcast, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stressed the need to continue strengthening the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission “Humberto Fernández Morán” and the Scientific Seedbeds to guarantee the country's autonomous development.

“We have to consolidate the national scientific community, the scientific hotbed betting on the future, that is the greatest guarantee for the autonomous and independent development of our country,” he emphasized while recalling that science and knowledge have been the central axis for the development of nations.

“Scientific independence will give us our own feet to walk without depending on anyone and a head of our own to think about our country,” he insisted.

He stressed that thanks to the vision of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, the country has managed to build cooperation ties with nations such as Russia and China in scientific and technological matters.

“There is another world that has already been born and Venezuela belongs to that other world, and by participating in these projects we are demonstrating that only in a world of cooperation and peace, there is humanity,” he said.
