Head of State: The Bolivarian National Militia is a fundamental pillar of the People's Military Power

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized the role of the Bolivarian National Militia as a “fundamental pillar of the people's military power”,

During the promotions to militiamen and the award of military officers, the Head of State reaffirmed the strategic importance of the Militia as an expression of the military power of the organized people.

In this regard, the Commander in Chief of the FANB highlighted the importance of the Bolivarian National Militia as an essential component in the country's defense structure. In addition, he valued his patriotic spirit and his willingness to defend the nation under any circumstances.

“You are the militia, the military power of the People, the military power of the Homeland, the fifth legal component of our Bolivarian National Armed Force, in perfect popular-military-police fusion,” he said.
