Head of State: The Government will continue to invest all its energy to develop direct democracy

This Tuesday, August 13, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the Bolivarian Government is investing all its energy and efforts to develop direct, participatory, leading, popular and communal democracy.

He pointed out that it is in this direction that Venezuela is heading, “we have to go towards that new homeland, of the future, for this we have a very beautiful experience in these 25 years of Revolution.”

During the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, within the framework of the International Youth Day, she recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez called for socialist democracy.

“We have a formula that we are testing and it is working out well, which is the formula of the Community Circuits, in the 4,500 circuits, almost 49,000 Community Councils are being grouped together and this experience is very positive and in a permanent process of renewal,” he said.

In this regard, he proposed to young people to join the above-mentioned Community Circuits, through the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, with the Plan “Let's Get Active”, and to form grass-roots youth committees, “with community youth”.
