The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed the importance of emerging countries in the consolidation of a new multipolar world.

“The new world that is emerging belongs to us,” said the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace, after the signing of a series of energy agreements between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago.

He recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez stated in the 90s that the 21st century “is our century”, and “the century of the emerging world, because all the peoples of the world have the right to emerge, to grow, to realize our dreams and the world can live with a community of shared destiny,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he highlighted the importance of the agreements signed with Trinidad and Tobago. “These historical documents that are being signed will allow the development of the Cocuina Field of the Venezuelan Delta Platform. And it's an example for the entire world. How many gas and oil wars have there been in the world? (...)
