On the night of this Thursday, March 06, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the entire political structure of Guyana is totally corrupted and assured that Irfaan Ali is the “Zelenski of the Caribbean”
In this regard, the Head of State stressed that “the government of Guyana has entered into a warrior spiral against Venezuela and they believe that it will be good for them (...). The president of Guyana is like the Zelenski of the Caribbean.”
He said that a few days ago he requested that a meeting of the Alguile Agreement be convened to demonstrate to the president of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, “how he is violating international laws and how he is using the sea to delimit between the two countries.”
President Maduro added that “it can only be delimited between two
countries that sit down and agree on the sea, so we have it delimited with
everyone on the Caribbean façade and the countries
of the Caribbean know it. With Guyana, it is simply pending in the controversy
where we have everything to win because we have the
original documents of being the holders of Guiana Essequiba, which has been part of Venezuela since the time
of the captaincy general in 1777.”
He asserted that “the Zelenski of the Caribbean must immediately rectify and stop provoking Venezuela, stop violating international laws; sit down and talk to me face to face.”
