Head of State: The time for peace has come and the bells of peace must ring

This Monday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed the importance of achieving a ceasefire in the Middle East and guaranteeing the nuclear disarmament of Israel, which threatens the peace of this region.

“The time has come for peace, the bells of peace must ring and not the drums of war,” emphasized the President, highlighting the Venezuelan proposal to convene a peace summit involving all countries.

After condemning the Zionist government of Benjamin Netanyahu for its guerrilla policy against its neighbors, and the genocide against the Palestinian people, he stressed that this position of Venezuela in favor of peace will not yield to pressure from any foreign power.

“Nobody will remove us from our call of peace diplomacy, Venezuela is a modest country but we have a voice (...). Nobody is going to get us out of this position, we are not slaves or lackeys of any empire,” he said.
