The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, questioned the interference of Volker Türk, an official of the United Nations (UN) in the face of the violent acts caused by the right wing in Venezuela.

In that sense, the head of state assured that damaging the assets of the Nation, including hospitals, and also private vehicles is not protesting.

“Is burning buses, burning Metrobus stations a protest? Is burning hospitals a protest, is killing people in the street, hitting people in the street a protest? Mr. Türk, you are always either very uninformed, which speaks very badly of you; or very ill-intentioned, which speaks worse of you. One of two, or uninformed or ill-intentioned, or both at the same time,” he said.

He also criticized that imperialism “puts in key UN positions to do the job: on the one hand it turns around and doesn't see the Gaza massacre, but on the other hand it keeps an eye on Venezuela to support a fascist and terrorist coup.”
