“There must be jail for all those involved and promoters in the theft of CITGO,” said the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro on Monday night, June 17.

In his Con Maduro+ program , he stated that there must be “justice and we must also defend what is ours”.

He specified that all Venezuelans must defend basic companies and the best way to do so is to continue with their recovery.

He also rejected the process that led to the forced sale of the Venezuelan-owned company in the United States, CITGO, which was sold off as part of the scheme of aggression maintained by the imperialist Government against Venezuela.

He denounced that “the maneuver is under way to carry out the dispossession of CITGO from Venezuela in the coming weeks, so he demanded that there must be justice.”

He argued that “the US Government, in complicity with the stateless and radical right, intends to steal CITGO from Venezuela and those opponents and conspirators are desperate to scratch the pot.”

He stressed that productive recovery is important and that progress is also made in the full and absolute recovery of all contractual, labor and income rights of all workers in basic companies.
