Head of State: They intended to overthrow Maduro with a green banana!

This Wednesday, April 30, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that “on such a day as today, the victory of the People of Venezuela against the coup d'etat sought by Leopoldo López and Juan Guaidó is being commemorated.”

“A magical date in 2019 called the Green Banana Strike (...) I had prepared the People because I knew a lot of things about conspiracies and I had told them: if one day you wake up with news that you are attempting a coup d'etat or that you tried to do something to Maduro or something like that, you must have: nerves of steel, calm and sanity and maximum popular - military - police mobilization (...) and that's what we did,” he said.

President Maduro added that we crush the people in the streets of all the cities of Venezuela. “They intended to overthrow Maduro with a Green Banana Coup,” he said.
