Head of State: This Thursday the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025 begins

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the time has come for the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, which is scheduled to start this Thursday, 28 to Sunday, August 31, 2025, in which 1,850 artists will participate.

This was announced during the Culture segment of the 89th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, where he specified that the Festival will take place in two phases and a community tour will take place that will touch the depths of Venezuela in its communal organization, in the communal circuits, in the communes.

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, confirmed the above-mentioned dates of the first phase of the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, which will be held throughout Venezuela.

“It's a cultural festival that will stage national talent with their own theatrical expressions, in an unprecedented display,” he said.

Villegas said that this time “we are giving the spotlight to Venezuelan theater. So in all the states of the country and the capital city we will have national projects on stage.”

In addition, the director of the National Theater Company of Venezuela, Carlos Arroyo, reaffirmed that the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, to be held in all states of the country, including the country's capital, will bring together 155 theater groups with 155 plays.
