Head of State urges bishops to enlist to defend the Fatherland

On the night of this Monday, October 27, in his program Con Maduro+, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, called on the members of the church hierarchy and urged them to follow the example of our saint José Gregorio Hernánde z, who in the face of the imperial threat joined the ranks of the militia for the defense of the Fatherland.

President Maduro said that the national territory was overwhelmed by faith in our saints. He thanked Monsignor Raúl Biord, Mayor Carmen Meléndez and the Vice President of Religious Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, for the activities organized at the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural House, on August 7.

He took the opportunity to comment that in the parish of La Candelaria in Caracas, the Venezuelan people were delighted with the inauguration of the plaza in honor of José Gregorio Hernández, which has a fountain. “That fountain begins to work miracles; people with faith use their water and say that they have been healed of some evil; that is the healing power of José Gregorio, our Saint”.
