Head of State: Venezuelan mining industry has managed to grow 45%

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday, January 20, highlighted that Venezuela is emerging as a mining power, since this Venezuelan industry has managed to increase 45% of its growth.

This was highlighted during the working day to install the National Council for Productive Economy 2025, together with businessmen and the Ministerial Cabinet, where he specified that “EXPOMETAL 2025 promises to be a great opportunity, there is still a long way to go”.

In that scenario, he recalled that in 2024, “we had a growth of 21% in the mining sector, which must be industrialized, iron, aluminum, gold.”

He also reiterated that “we must grow, in investment, in technology, we must grow in alliances, in strategic partnerships with national sectors, with all the BRICS countries, with all the countries of the world.”

“We still have a very wide horizon for the growth of Venezuelan mining, for its industrialization and for it to be a tremendous source of generating domestic international wealth, which strengthens the virtuous cycle of the Venezuelan economy,” he said.

President Maduro began the day, stating that “starting the week here, January 20, is a beautiful day for Venezuela because today we are starting on a high, activating the first major economic transformation, T number one, T of the economy. The seven T plan activated, very active, fantastic, wonderful”.

For her part, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, asserted that through the first transformation of the economic model, work is being done to have a diversified and productive economic model.
