The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned the peoples of Latin America of the danger of the neoliberal model that the far-right Javier Milei is trying to apply in Argentina, which caused the social explosion in 1989 and which stained the streets of Venezuela with blood.
“On February 18, 1989, Carlos Andrés Pérez launched the package to hand over the country to the International Monetary Fund and 11 days later the people gave the answer in the street and there began this path of peace that we are building, through a Bolivarian, Humanist and Socialist model, born out of the greatest pain of Venezuelans,” said Maduro.
The Head of State asserted that the CAP package is the same one that Javier Milei is implementing in Argentina, so social discontent in that country represents a risk to peace in the region.
