Health Goes to School Program provided more than 1 thousand services in Barinas

The 393 students of the Virginia de Contreras National Educational Unit in Barinas state were attended by a multidisciplinary team of the Health Goes to School Program, thanks to which 1,337 medical treatments were provided and 2,093 units of medications were delivered.
The specialists, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health, offered direct consultations in the areas of visual, oral, sexual and reproductive health, mental health and nutrition, and delivered medications to children who needed it. In addition, the staff evaluated people with disabilities, screened for non-communicable diseases, and carried out deworming, immunization and abatement within the campus.
In addition, guidance and preventive talks were given to students on the inclusion of people with disabilities, prevention of bullying, the risks of viral challenges on the internet and care measures against yellow fever.
