The San José de Yaracuy Popular Clinic developed the Hearts at the Rhythm day, an initiative aimed at promoting physical mobility, reducing sedentary lifestyle and preventing cardiovascular diseases in older adults in the state, as part of public policies for comprehensive care for the elderly.

The deployment included group dynamics and adapted exercises, as well as preventive medical care with blood pressure evaluation for the timely detection of hypertension. The medical team delivered vitamin complexes free of charge in order to reinforce the participants' nutritional schedule.

With these actions, the Ministry of People's Power for Health reaffirms its commitment to social protection and consolidates territorial strategies that ensure healthy, autonomous and inclusive aging in the region.
