Heavy rains in Brazil leave 15 dead

The heavy rains this weekend have left 15 dead in southeastern Brazil, and caused the yellow alert.

According to information published in different international media, 100 millimeters (0.003 feet) of rain have fallen in the area in the last 24 hours. However, rainfall is expected to reach 100 millimeters per day with winds that can reach 100 kilometers per hour.

The state government of Rio confirmed the collapse of a house and a building in Petrópolis, a tourist city located about 70 kilometers from the state capital.
