Heavy snowfall leaves 60 dead in Afghanistan

This Wednesday, the spokesman for Afghanistan's national disaster authority, Mullah Janan Saeq, reported that 60 people lost their lives and 23 were injured due to heavy snowfall.
“More than 1,600 homes have been partially or completely destroyed and more than 177,000 cattle died due to freezing weather during this period,” said Janan Saeq, in a video released Wednesday on the social network X.
According to what was published on the Xinhua agency's website, funding has been allocated to aid more than 22,000 families living in the affected areas by national and international authorities.
