The National Government will maintain the plan for the recovery of schools and school kitchens, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, to ensure that children in the country have safe spaces for their learning, said the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez.

“We are deploying ourselves, as we did throughout December, with our maintenance plan to all educational institutions. We are once again equipping all the kitchens for the operation of the school feeding program. We also have new works to deliver, new schools, which President Nicolás Maduro had instructed to build and which we have finished and will be delivering next week. We are going to continue working hard to continue improving the quality of education for our sons and daughters,” Rodríguez said during a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

In this regard, he stressed that, likewise, plans are being maintained to improve educational quality, the improvement of study programs in the field of literacy, history and identity, natural sciences, sports and the provision of laboratories and promotion of scientific seedbeds.

On the other hand, the head of the educational portfolio reiterated that classes restart in the country on January 12, so he asked teachers and parents to concentrate their efforts to accompany what the little ones may be feeling in the face of the difficult situation that our country is going through.

I ask for the support of all the teachers in the country, I ask for the support of all the parents and representatives of the country, so that we take care of the most sacred and that they are also the main victims when there are attacks of this nature, which are our sons, our daughters, the future of all of Venezuela. So on Monday the 12th first thing in the morning we will be opening all schools to welcome Venezuelan youth,” he emphasized.
