Schools in the country will remain open on holidays and, during these holidays, the School Feeding Plan (PAE) for children will remain active, said the minister of education, Héctor Rodríguez.

“This does not mean that we are not going to respect the sacred rest time of teachers, but that teachers who so wish will stay with us, together with the community,” Rodríguez clarified during the supervision of the Dr. Francisco Espejo State Educational Unit, in Petare, Miranda state.

In this regard, according to a press release from the Education portfolio, he said that the holidays will serve to continue searching for young people and children who are not yet in school, as well as to continue rehabilitating institutions.

On the other hand, Rodríguez pointed out that so far in 2025, nearly 900 educational institutions have been rehabilitated, with an average of 140 schools recovered monthly.

He also urged the community to monitor that renovated schools are properly maintained so that they can endure the rehabilitation work carried out jointly by the national government, at its three levels, and the communities.
