The vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) for the Historical Bloc, Héctor Rodríguez, urged the different social movements that live in the state of Barinas to take up the campaign of the next municipal elections with the same enthusiasm with which those of governorates and legislative powers took place last May 25.
From the Francisco Miranda Urbanization, in the Barinas municipality, the national leader stressed that work must be maintained in all sectors, movements, communes and communal circuits, according to a press release from the social vice-presidency.
“We must maintain our growth trend. They (the opposition) are more divided than ever, but that's not why we're going to lower our arms and say 'that's won, 'it's not just about winning an election, it's about continuing to grow (...) that's why I ask all this social force to continue building that majority, to go house to house to convince anyone who needs to be convinced,” he exclaimed.
On July 27, Venezuelans will go to a new election, this time to elect the mayors and councils of the 335 municipalities. At the same time, the National Popular Consultation for Youth will be held, the third of this year and the first aimed at a specific sector of society.
