The Anonymous Hydrological Company of the Caribbean (HIDROCARIBE) began this week a corrective maintenance plan for the pumping equipment of the Juan José de Paso Water Treatment Plant, located in the state of Sucre.

The technical maneuvers seek to stabilize the flow and optimize the distribution of drinking water to communities in the municipalities of Bolívar, Cruz Salmerón Acosta and Mejía.

The electromechanical hydrological equipment performs the comprehensive overhaul of the drive units and control panels. These tasks are part of the public service policies managed by the Ministry of the People's Power for Water Care.

The technical intervention responds to the operational wear detected in the suction systems, which affected the supply pressure in the above-mentioned areas.
During the day, the operators disassembled worn parts and replaced internal components in the high-power motors.

The rehabilitation of these equipment makes it possible to recover the flow levels necessary to supply the population that depends on this water infrastructure.
