HIDROVEN completed maintenance work on the Tuy II System

The preventive and corrective maintenance work on the Tuy II Production System, located in the parish of Santa Teresa del Tuy, Independencia municipality, ended this Sunday, April 5, after 72 hours of incessant work, carried out by the staff of the Center's Hydrology Department (HIDROVEN), with the support of the Ministry of Water of the Government of Miranda.

After the completion of the work, which consisted of the replacement of 120 meters of 48-inch pipe, together with repairs to the entire distribution network and improvements to the pumping system for the vital liquid.

Start-up protocols for pumping drinking water to the population have been initiated, the Government of Miranda reported on its website.

The excavation, conditioning of the ground, exploration and removal of the deteriorated pipeline for the installation of a new pipe, through the use of this heavy machinery, together with welding maneuvers, were part of the tasks carried out by the technical personnel specialized in the maintenance and repair of the water systems of the state company in the area.

Karol Merchán, Secretary of Water of the Regional Executive, stated that preventive and corrective maintenance work on the Tuy II Production System is included in the Second Transformation of the 7T, established by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and that the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez continues, with the support of the governor of the entity, Elio Serrano.

“The objective is to offer our people in Miranda an efficient and quality drinking water supply service. It was 72 hours of hard and continuous work so that thousands of families can once again have a drinking water supply service in their homes in an efficient and quality manner,” he said.
