Hinterlaces: 60% of Venezuelans trust the results issued by the CNE

According to the polling company Hinterlaces, 51% of Venezuelan voters claimed to have voted for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, while the second place went to the former extremist opposition candidate, Edmundo González, with 33%, the rest of the candidates kept 4%. In addition, 60% of the population has no doubts about the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

According to the pollster, the study was conducted through a national sample of Venezuelan households, and was carried out from July 31 to August 9.

It was also known that 60% trust the results issued by the CNE, while only 6% do not believe in the Electoral Power. Likewise, 4% prefer to wait for the opinion of the Supreme Court of Justice, while another 26% want to wait for the CNE to publish the minutes.

Regarding violent demonstrations, at least 96% of those interviewed said they reject such acts; and seven out of 10 Venezuelans believe that those who promote violence should be prosecuted and sanctioned.

Meanwhile, 72% of those consulted propose to close the electoral phase to begin a new period of work and recovery of the country.

“79% of the people consulted do not agree that an international entity or the Unitary Platform are the ones who give the electoral results. In this regard, 83% value the Venezuelan electoral system positively,” reported a well-known daily newspaper with national circulation.
