The most recent Monitor-Country Hinterlaces study evaluated the opinion of the Venezuelan population about recent measures by the United States government and the responses of the Venezuelan State.
On his Instagram account, Hinterlaces states that 89 percent of Venezuelans reject the United States decree authorizing the capture, expulsion and imprisonment in El Salvador of Venezuelan migrants arbitrarily identified as members of the Aragua Train, without prior investigation or trial.
It indicates that 84% of respondents believe that the US government's measure against Venezuelans was promoted and supported by the extremist opposition María Corina Machado. Only 9% dismiss it and 7% did not respond.
It also points out that 91% believe that this decree of the United States government profoundly violates the human rights of Venezuelans, reflecting a majority perception of injustice.
The study also highlights that 85% of the Venezuelan people agree with the Plan Back to the Homeland promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to repatriate Venezuelans unjustly detained in the United States.
The report highlights that these results show a mostly critical opinion of the recent actions of the U.S. government in relation to Venezuela, as well as significant support for initiatives that seek to protect the rights of Venezuelan citizens abroad.
