The Venezuelan under-17 soccer team thrashed its Chilean counterpart 3-0 and won the bronze medal in the South American category that was played in Colombia.

Vinotinto's goals came courtesy of Jesús Berroterán in the 51st minute, Juan Boyer 65' and Marcos Maitán 68', at the Jaime Morón stadium.

The game was clearly dominated by Venezuela, with several shots on goal that didn't go in thanks to the good performance of Chilean goalkeeper Vicente Villegas

Both teams had their place in the World Cup in the category that will be played from November 5 to 27, after being among the best two teams in groups A and B of the South American team.

For its part, Brazil won the cup after beating Colombia on penalties 4-1, after ending in a 1-1 tie in regulation time.
