Representatives of social and political groups in Honduras condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against Venezuela.
In this regard, social groups handed over to the Venezuelan Ambassador in Honduras, Margaud Godoy, a series of signatures collected in community spaces as a sign of solidarity with the country.
The activity took place at the Venezuelan diplomatic headquarters in Tegucigalpa, as part of a communication and solidarity event organized by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Honduras, with the objective of reaffirming the commitment of free peoples to sovereignty and peace.
During the meeting, Godoy stated that “the defense of Venezuela is not only the defense of a territory, but the defense of an idea: the independence and dignity of the peoples of the South, who do not kneel before hegemonic power.”
After receiving public support, the ambassador thanked the gesture and stated: “Each signature represents a voice that stands up for the truth of Venezuela, for the self-determination of peoples and for a Latin America that reaffirms its character as a Zone of Peace.”
The event was part of a global diplomatic effort aimed at dismantling the narratives that criminalize the Venezuelan State and make visible the real causes of international persecution.
