Hospital Dr. José Gregorio Hernández de Catia advances in rehabilitation work

As part of the work of the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services, the authorities reported that the recovery of priority areas that were affected after the seismic event at the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Hospital, in the Sucre de Los Magallanes parish of Catia, recorded a 90% improvement in their execution.

After the technical inspection of the infrastructure, it was determined that the health center maintains a green label at the evaluation traffic light. Crews and specialized technical personnel began continuous work 24 hours a day, as part of the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Plan.

The deployment focused on vital spaces such as the operating rooms in the delivery room, the prenatal area and the oral and maxillofacial surgery service, through deep sanitation of affected internal walls and floors; they also work on the rehabilitation of the east and west hospital rooms, the kitchen and the urology, gastroenterology, psychology and neurosurgery offices.

During the deployment, they carried out the intervention of the ceiling slab of the physical medicine and rehabilitation room, together with the repair of four elevators, while keeping 2 teams operational to ensure the transport and comfort of patients, families and medical staff.
