Hospital Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá in Zulia opens new areas

New pediatric and adult emergency areas of the Hospital Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá, located in the municipality of Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, were handed over to the community after their recovery, modernization and total equipment.

“The adult emergency and trauma shock areas are being delivered completely new and equipped. In the area of pediatrics, we now have a pediatric shock trauma area, triage, showers, all the care for our boys and girls in this hospital; also, the gyneco-obstetrics area, and even a new elevator,” Governor Luis Caldera explained to the cameras of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

According to local authorities, people celebrate Zulianity Day with health and hope. Thanks to the resources approved by the Bolivarian Government of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro, the hospital is consolidated as a reference for care for the people.

The treatment rooms, trauma shock, respiratory therapy, triage, isolation and rehydration rooms were renovated after the building was waterproofed, as were the air conditioning, internal and external conditioning, pumping system for drinking water and medical gases, works to facilitate medical care and ensure timely and quality service for the Zulian population.
