House of Culture in Ocumare de la Costa reopened

After a comprehensive rehabilitation process, the Casa de la Cultura de Ocumare de la Costa was reinaugurated, an emblematic space dedicated to the preservation of the identity and traditions of the coast of the state of Aragua, which will serve as a training center for children, young people and local educators.
The event was led by Mayor Wilmer Leal, who reported that the works were carried out respecting the colonial structure of the building and included the repair of ceilings, walls and areas intended for artistic teaching, according to a note from Última Noticias.
Leal stressed that the venue will offer music, singing and dance workshops, as part of a cultural policy aimed at strengthening local identity, with the joint support of national, regional and municipal governments.
As part of cultural management, the mayor also announced the inauguration of a new headquarters in San Juan Bautista in the Aponte hamlet and the rehabilitation of the houses of San Juan in Ocumare, Cata and El Playón.
In addition, he reported that the Music School and a nucleus of the Symphony Orchestra will soon be inaugurated in Ocumare, while in Cata the construction of a new headquarters of the Orchestra System is progressing, initiatives aimed at consolidating the cultural development of the municipality.
