The State Railroad Institute (IFE) will resume scheduled “pick and prune” maintenance work, this Sunday, the 11th, on the catenary system of the Ezequiel Zamora I section, to ensure the operability and safety of the railway route that connects Caracas with the Valles del Tuy subregion, Miranda state.

In this regard, the maintenance day, which will begin at 4:00 a.m. and will last until 12:00 p.m., will be the fifth at the level of air cables, since the beginning of the process on June 9, which is crucial for the proper functioning of rail transport. The work is carried out especially in preparation for the rainy season, a critical period in which obstructions by branches and trees can cause service interruptions.

To mitigate the impact on commercial train service during these hours, the executing and regulatory body of the national rail transportation system will implement a Temporary Single Route (VUT) on the Caracas-Cúa line, a press release from the country's transportation portfolio reported.
