This Tuesday, November 4th, the exhibition began: the II National Chocoarte Salon, “Land of Cocoa, Art and Flavor” in Maracay, Aragua state.
The exhibition dazzles with nine impressive works by 10 artisans. One of them is the creation of Eimy Tur and six other presentations by visual artist José Luis Alcalde. These pieces of art, made with chocolate, are sculptures that are also edible; undoubtedly, a delight for the eyes and the palate, nourished by the sample of cacao from the historic Hacienda Sabaneta in Choroní.
The atmosphere was enriched by the powerful voice of Maeluc Yermaya, a popular cultor, who performed the meaningful Song of Faena and Sirena, a call to coastal tradition. In addition, the Hall is adorned with photographs of “Shared City” by Frank Araujo and Jorge Maraima, as well as Andy Mota (Coordinator of the Aragua Culture Cabinet) and the visual artist Maisabel Solano.
All this deployment is the result of the coordination between the Girardot mayor's office, the chocolatiers conglomerate, the State Department of Culture and the Municipal Art Gallery.
Finally, an extensive program with films, children's paintings and music from the coast of Aragua was announced for the next few days, and a future meeting called Coffee, Cocoa, Rum and Poetry, by order of Governor Joana Sánchez.
