II National Festival of Bagpipes for Children and Youth began with the participation of more than 200 groups

At the Palacio de los Eventos in Maracaibo, Zulia
state, the II National Festival of Bagpipes for Children and Youth
was organized by the Fundación Gaiteros de Corazón, in homage to the composer from Zulia, Abdenago Borjas.
In this regard, the general director,
Argenis Sánchez, reported that there are 200 piper groups in competition
representing four thousand children and adolescents, according to a Venezuelan Television review.
In addition, he indicated that the festival
will also recognize individual talents in singing and performing instruments
typical of the bagpipe.
He emphasized that starting this week and until the month of June, the contest's own activities will take place until reaching the qualifiers to choose the winning groups in the children's and youth categories.
